Hi there and welcome to my website! I’m a recent graduate of the School of Media & Public Affairs at the George Washington University. I’ve lived in a small town in Vermont all my life and enjoy returning there frequently to visit my family. I attended a small private high school where I first got involved in advocacy work and organized a clothing drive for the Vermont Refugee Resettlement Program.
Since arriving in D.C, I have headed up the inaugural leadership team at GW’s food pantry The Store, run a chapter of the nonprofit She’s the First for two years, and have most recently been the President of the Panhellenic Association, the largest student organization on campus.
In those roles I have drafted social media strategy, led board meetings, developed relationships with donors, and played an integral role in crisis communication planning. I have crafted social media content for the Champlain Valley Office of Economic Opportunity, as well as for the app Womaze.
My love for communications and rhetoric began by watching The West Wing and The Newsroom with my family, and now I have focused my passion on communicating about education policy and women’s rights. In April 2020, I found an inclusive lifestyle collective with a close friend, addressing the lack of diversity in age, race, gender and sexuality in social media influencer communities. Through that venture, we developed the podcast A Little Bit Unfiltered which highlights stories of success without any filtered advice or appearances.
